Raf Simons said goodbye to his post at Jil Sander this season.  Another magazine has a great interview with the florist who complimented the extraordinary show.  Some of Mark Colle’s work below:

Watched L’amour Fou at The Paris Theater (my favorite theater in the city) last night.  So beautifully done and so sad.  It was amazing to see all the spectacular art that Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge had collected over 20 years, but disturbing to see it all split up.  More saddening then that though was that Yves never seemed to have found happiness and contentment despite his fame, success and ongoing legacy.  It was great to hear Pierre Berge speak about Yves because I’m reading The Beautiful Fall (a must read!) and he is not always portrayed as the most tender hearted person in the book.

Prada’s decision to do illustrated ads for their sunglasses was clever and well executed!

Christine J. Brandt who I mentioned in the previous post is now holding enameling and wax carving workshops!  Her studio is gorgeous, her talent is incomparable and her fees are reasonable.  For more information email her: christine@christinejbrandt.com.

All my friends know that my taste in jewelry is a bit eclectic and always bold.  Hence my choice of engagement ring and wedding ring.  I first discovered Christine J. Brandt’s jewelry on the pages of Elle magazine when I was dating my husband in Seoul.  When we decided to take the plunge he was a bit skeptical about how easy it would be from becoming a man who never wore jewelry to always having a gold ring.  Not to worry I said, no gold necessary.

My wedding ring.  My husband has a wooden band carved from the same piece of African ebony wood.  Very fitting to us as a couple I think.

I have been searching for the right pictures/painting/art to hang above my couch.  This caught my eye.

I never thought I’d say this, but I have two major reasons why I must make it out to New Mexico.  1.) To see The Lightning Field, one of my favorite artsits’ (Walter de Maria) long term exhibit that has existed since 1977 and 2.) to see my fave cousin-in-law.

For those of you in NYC check out two amazing exhibits locally that have also been in place since the late 70′s.
